As the movement to label genetically engineered foods continues to gain support nationwide, we are still being subjected to potential health risks from eating these foods. We have the right to know what we are eating but agribusinesses like Monsanto foods are stripping us of this right. As a part of a democracy we have the power, and the responsibility, to take this right back. The cook-off will showcase the difficulty of avoiding GE foods as well as discuss the importance of labeling GE foods. The event will feature Tammy Ayon, Executive Director of Democratic Party of Broward County and concerned mother, Reverend Gail Tapscott from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ft.
